Reporting to the Client

Reports are typically provided electronically as an encrypted file through our secure FTP site. We permanently store all reported metrics on physical media.

The following are the types of standard reports most frequently requested by our clients:

Monthly Activity Remittance Statement
Frequency will be based upon requested period of remittance.     ACH remittance is most efficient; however, we can meet any client preference. Information includes the responsible party name, account number, payment amount, date payment was received, type of money received (principle, interest, etc…), type of payment (full, partial, legal, etc…), total due to client, total due to agency, and total collected.

Cancel Report
Information includes name of responsible party, account number, date account was listed, balance cancelled and the reason for cancellation.

Client Analysis by Month
A metric designed to track data by month of placement. The report shows how many accounts were listed each month and their dollar value. Adjustments and client cancels are tracked separately to insure accurate statistics as well as returned accounts, paid/settled in full and collections for the current month and to date with their recovery percentages.

Current Balance Report
This report is especially useful, showing real time current balance of an account at any time after assignment.

Custom Reporting and Metrics
Available as part of our commitment to client-centric service.

Risk Management

A self-imposed responsibility and service we provide our clients is that of risk management on their behalf.

When we become aware of a potential risk to a client, we immediately document and make that client aware of the issue. In most cases, there is no factual basis for the claim. However, our policy is to report all threats of exposure, provide recommendations based on our knowledge, and allow the client to determine how they want the matter to be handled.

Educational Seminars

A hallmark of our commitment to client centric service is providing training opportunities for your personnel at no charge.

Serving as an educational resource for our clients has been a commitment we have upheld since we opened our doors. These educational seminars provide both motivational and personal development for your staff. They can be arranged both virtually and on-site.

Providing exceptional seminars and training opportunities for our clients gave rise to the elite reputation we sought and maintain. We have shaped our Education Division to its current, vibrant, highly coveted program offerings. Michael Schindler is a nationally recognized and much sought-after seminar leader in the credit and collection industry. He, along with our talented and knowledgeable presenters, not only direct our well-established training programs, but also collaborate with our clients to develop innovative programs and seminars that suit their unique needs.

The positive impact of these seminars has exceeded the expectations of most attendees, as reflected in their highly rated evaluations and comments:

“The enthusiasm that Mr. Schindler has would be very beneficial to the whole collection process and team. Very informative and well presented!”

“All was great, very informative! …Good examples, clear instructions for possible ‘scripting.’”

“[It] was informational, humorous, and pleasant for an unpleasant subject.”

PHD

When we collect for our clients, we are an extension of them.  That requires an ethical imperative to provide effective collection practices that also uphold our clients’ mission and vision.  We understand and value our clients’ relationship and dedication to the communities they serve.  Our goal is to be a transparent partner to our clients and provide the most efficient tools, enabling consumers to resolve their accounts with the most convenient method for the individual.

Our approach to the collection of accounts is based on the concept of “PHD,” Preserve Human Dignity. The same exceptional client service we provide our clients extends to the consumer. Each collection representative is thoroughly trained to treat every debtor like a human being, not an account number.  We employ communication techniques that utilize listening skills as well as persuasion.  We do not use scripts but rely on basic skills of meeting each account on its own merit and situation.  We take consumers’ financial situations into consideration and work with them to provide payment options. Collectors make arrangements that fit a debtor’s budget, while remaining assertive and motivated to satisfy the debt as quickly and completely as possible. PHD does not just increase a debtor’s willingness to pay, it ensures more accounts are paid in full and more money recovered for our clients.

Each of our Professional Collection Representatives are skilled listeners and communicators, constantly seeking the best outcome for both the client and debtor.  Consumers are provided with toll free numbers, toll free fax, ability to communicate via email, bi-lingual staff, and a language service that provides the ability to communicate in over 200 languages. ARG does not use an IVR or power dialer, we do not employ robo-calling or messaging; all consumers will talk to a live person when contacting ARG.

Not only does ARG’s client service-based philosophy preserve human dignity, but it also preserves the law. All collection efforts made on an account are in strict compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and CFPB Regulation F (Reg F). All our collection representatives receive comprehensive training in the FDCPA and Reg F. Additionally, they sign a contractually binding statement of compliance, agreeing to uphold the regulations set in the FDCPA and Reg F. Our expertly trained management team routinely monitor collectors’ performance; guaranteeing ethical and legal boundaries are never overstepped.

Expertly Trained Professionals

Asset Recovery Group, Inc. has a corporate imperative requiring continual training for all our staff members.

We are committed to providing our staff with opportunities for success and a firm understanding of current collection practices and regulations. Initial training includes extensive Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and CFPB Regulation F (Reg F) instruction, culminating in testing that requires a score of 100 percent to pass. Every employee must sign a statement acknowledging they have been trained on the FDCPA and Reg F and understand that non-compliance with that law can result in immediate termination.

We employ a full-time training specialist who has over 30 years of collection industry experience. The primary responsibility of the trainer is to coach our staff on ethics, specialized telephone techniques, customer service skills, interacting with difficult people, as well as current changes in our industry.

We believe in the potential of our people to strengthen their skills, contribute to ARG’s organizational goals, and in the development of his or her own unique talents and abilities to achieve maximum performance.

ARG also has safeguards in place to ensure our collectors are compliant with their training. Collection supervisors regularly monitor collectors’ phone calls to consumers and provide instructional coaching both during and after the call. Account transcripts are also spot checked for notation quality and accuracy. These measures ensure account handling adheres to company policies and legal regulations.
